What is WIDA?
WIDA stands for World-class Instructional Design and Assessment after initially representing the states that were first a part of a grant proposal.
WIDA advances academic language development and academic achievement for children and youth who are culturally and linguistically diverse through high quality standards, assessments, research, and professional learning for educators.
Our state uses WIDA’s standards, screeners, and English Language Development (ELD) assessment called ACCESS for ELLs 2.0.
There are also tons of supplemental materials available through WIDA.
